Loan of 5 Toyen works for the current exhibition at Cromwell Place, London
An exhibition called I saw the other side of the sun with you: Female Surrealists from Eastern Europe organized by the European ArtEast Foundation is currently taking place in Cromwell Place, London.
Here you can see five Toyen works that we have lent for the exhibition. There is also the iconic painting The Pink Spectrum from 1934, which was auctioned at the KODL Gallery (then still Antikva Nova Kodl) in 2002 and became the most expensive auctioned item in our country at that time. Next, the canvas I wish you good health is presented! from 1942 reflecting the traumatic experiences of the time and three paintings from the peak post-war Parisian period of the 1950s – Portrait of André Breton; And now, as time passes and the Origin of Truth.
