85th Auction, Lot 3 The presented artwork is a characteristic example of the work of the sought-after contemporary Czech painter, Vladimír Houdek. This laureate of the Jindřich Chalupecký Award, which he received in 2012, studied painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague under the guidance of Vladimír Skrepl. In his works, he focuses on classical painting and collage, but he likes to combine both of these techniques and transform them into new art forms, of which visual connotations can be found, for example, in Constructivism, Minimalism, and Op Art. Using a reduced colour composition, he achieves an extraordinary appeal, which is supported by technical perfection. This artwork is a donation from the author. 50% of the proceeds from this artwork will be credited to the account of the Bátor Tábor Foundation and will be fully exempt from auction fees.
