This impressive example of the work of one of the most important Czech landscape painters, based directly on French impressionism, represents a remarkable moment captured with plein air agility. Its strong composition evokes in the beholder the impression of being present at a specific place and time. With immense diligence, using a demanding impressionist technique of individual short strokes, Radimský managed to capture the inner vibration of every square centimetre of the painted canvas with brilliance and swing. Being knowledgeable in French models, he also paid attention to a faithful caption of the airy atmosphere, which became almost tangible. In addition, he did not forget about the light, which, thanks to the appropriately used base and the refined laying of colours, allows the painting to shine. This artwork of undeniable quality can thus compete very well with the best period paintings. It undoubtedly deserves the attention of every true art lover and it would have an honorary place in any high-quality art collection. Assessed during consultations by prof. J. Zemina and Mgr. M. Dospěl, Ph.D. The expertise by Mgr. P. Kubík is attached.
