We Support
The auction or sale and purchase of works of art is not the only thing that the KODL Gallery is dedicated to. Throughout its existence, it has supported many charitable projects and non-profit organizations: for example, the "Humanities Award 2016" competition of the French Cultural Institute, the Czech Association of Conservationists, and the Czech Ornithological Society. She also participated in organizing charity auctions with the Charter 77 Foundation.
The KODL gallery helps organizations:
Paraple Center
For the eleventh time, the works of contemporary artists have been auctioned at KODL Gallery auctions for the benefit of the Paraple Center for a total of 12,214,500- donated. Zdeněk Svěrák, its founder and, together with Jan Kačer, patron of the Auction for Paraples, considers the connection of the Paraple Center with the KODL Gallery and artists to be a happy step: "The sale of works of art means a great deal of financial help for Paraple. Equally important is the decision of the gallery and the artists to help. This is good news not only for Paraple." The gallery sees in this long-term cooperation not only the possibility of helping people with disabilities and at the same time presenting Czech contemporary art to the wider public in this form. The Paraple Center is a counseling and rehabilitation facility that helps people with spinal cord injuries and their families overcome a difficult life situation and find a way forward.

Post Bellum
The KODL gallery supports the non-profit organization Post Bellum, which since 2000 has been searching for and recording memories of witnesses to key moments of the 20th century. Every year, the first ten works of art are auctioned for the benefit of the Memory of the Nation. "We value this cooperation very much. The support of the KODL Gallery, the artists who donated their works and those who will auction them off means not only financial but also moral encouragement for us," says Mikuláš Kroupa, director of Post Bellum.
Together with its partners, the company Post Bellum has built the largest publicly accessible commemorative collection in Europe: www.pametnaroda.cz. Almost seven thousand memories of war veterans, dissidents, Holocaust survivors, political prisoners, but also StB agents or members of the Communist Party are recorded here. Radio Stories of the 20th Century, exhibitions, books, and educational projects are also based on the Memory of the Nation collection. Post Bellum has also been awarding the Memory of the Nation Awards for nine years.

National Theatre
National Theater Patron Club
The representative of the youngest generation of the Matyáš Kodl family, MA, has been a member of the Patrons' Club of the National Theater for several years. This continues the tradition of patronage, which was a functioning principle of Czech society for many centuries, and which stood for the very creation of the National Theatre. Patrons are united by love for culture, respect for history, but above all a desire to help. The patron club allows you to become part of a unique community, to get closer to the theater and to visit non-traditional social events and places.

Konto Bariéry
Charity sale for Konto Bariéry
The KODL Gallery has been a partner of the Artists' Auction Salons for Konto Bariéry for almost 30 years. The unique project started in 1993 and over the years almost 77 million crowns have been raised. "Martin Kodl as a person and the KODL Gallery, this is always a certainty that brings us peace of mind around the sale of works of art from hundreds of donors, leading Czech artists. The proceeds are 100% intended for charity, specifically for funding scholarships for students, high school and university students with disabilities. This pleases the artists who give us their gifts, but also the professionals who guarantee the faultless and unquestionable course of the auction," says director of Konta Bariéry Bozena Jirků.
So far, the last 15th artists' auction salon took place for the first time only online on our Artslimit portal and became the most successful in history.
Konto Bariéry, the longest-running public collection in the Czech Republic, helps people with disabilities and organizations that care for them every day. The goal is to bring the disabled back to life. More information at: https://www.kontobariery.cz/
